NEWS RELEASE
ADVICE FOR BUDDING ENTREPRENEURS
People who made a New Year's resolution to become their own boss are being offered a helping hand by a new two-day course run by Business Link for Leicestershire.
The Business Start-Up seminar is being run for free in the Highfields, St Matthew's and St Margaret's area of the city and is aimed at anyone either intending to start up in business or already in the initial stages of running their own business.
Designed to provide practical skills and knowledge to managers and owners of small businesses, those who attend will be given the motivational advice and guidance needed to develop and design an effective business plan.
By the end of the course, delegates will also have an overview of essential practices such as marketing, customer and market research and how to identify and compete with rival businesses.
Sumeet Kanwar, customer services manager at Business Link, said, "Not only will these courses show people how to develop and adhere to a realistic business plan, they will also explain the best methods of promoting a business and increasing sales.
The courses are backed with government funding from the Single Regeneration Budget.
