BUSINESSES BENEFIT FROM "HIGHLY MOTIVATED" BUSINESS LINK STAFF
Lincolnshire and Rutland businesses are benefiting from a "highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic" Business Link.
That was the official verdict as Business Link Lincolnshire & Rutland became one of the first in the country to be formally recognised as an Investor In People.
The positive assessment should come as no surprise to more than 4,000 local businesses that have used the business support service in its first year.
An official report says Business Link
· has highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic people
· works hard to deliver its commitment to training and development
· has a high commitment to communication
The assessment also praised the organisation for maintaining its "vitality and energy" as it was restructured last year.
"This is a fantastic achievement for us in our first year of operation as a new business," said Lyn Wakefield, personnel and resources manager. "The report highlights many strengths in the organisation and also suggests development areas."
As Business Link delivers workforce development services, including helping businesses to gain the Investors In People standard, she said it was crucial the organisation practiced what it preached.
"Our customers will benefit because the standard is all about developing and supporting people to do their jobs well," she said. "Our product is our people and by ensuring they have the key skills and knowledge that they need to deliver our service, we ensure our customers receive the best business solutions."
It took the organisation ten months from committing to the standard to recognition. Business Link will receive the award in June.
