FOCUS ON BUSINESS SUPPORT IN RUTLAND
Business support in Rutland will be the focus of a major event on July 11.
Business Link Lincolnshire & Rutland is organising the morning event, at Barnsdale Hall Hotel & Country Club, to get an understanding of local business issues and raise awareness about the help and support they can provide.
Rutland businesses will be invited to take a step back and re-focus on their business and its needs, and have the opportunity to make new contacts and network with like-minded people.
The first of two workshops will focus on information and communication technology - a key issue for businesses in Rutland. A specialist IT adviser will help delegates explore the potential of the World Wide Web, and the benefits of IT and e-commerce in business.
A second workshop presented by Dale Carnegie Training will cover a range of management topics, including leadership and communication, and aims to help owner/managers achieve further personal growth and development.
An exhibition, featuring a full range of Business Link services, will be on display throughout the morning. Those present will have the chance to discuss any business issues with their local business advisor and other members of the Business Link Team.
Organiser Lisa Davis says, "Business Link understands the increased challenges that are facing the small businesses of today and we feel that many more companies could benefit from using our services. We are viewing this as an opportunity to make a connection with local businesses so they know more about what we offer and will make us their first point of contact for support in the future."
